Can you wash
a Roomba bin?
Check the model before reaching for water.
A removable dust bin is not automatically washable. iRobot gives different instructions for the Roomba 600 series and Roomba j7+. Identify your robot and check its own guide before cleaning the bin.

01 / Keep dry
If you have a 600-series Roomba
iRobot says the bin and filters for this series must not be washed or exposed to liquid. Its routine uses dry handling: empty the bin, remove the filter, tap debris into a trash container and reinstall it.

If you have a Roomba j7+
The j7+ manual allows the detached bin to be rinsed with warm water after the filter has been removed. The filter stays out of the wash. The bin is not dishwasher safe and must be completely dry before the filter and bin are reinstalled.
Use the manual's bin-washing section for the sequence. This example is for j7+. It does not establish the procedure for a similarly named Combo model or a different replacement bin.
